I am awed by the skill it takes to program a robot to cut a miniscule part or draw blood from a patient on the first try. So too, it would seem, is our governor.
He has proclaimed February to be Career and Technical Education Month in Michigan, which is no small thing when you consider that few other educational programs have a designated month all to themselves.
Here is why, according to the proclamation: “Career and technical education serves as a ‘school to careers’ connection and is the backbone of a strong and well-education workforce….”
What’s not said there is that Career and Technical Education leads to jobs that are in high demand, pay well and have a promising future. See if one of them is right for you at http://www.macomb.edu/business/workforce-development/index.html.
Prepare to be awed.
