I just returned from Sicily last week, where I was awed by many sights, including this church in Catania. I also discovered that the warmth of Sicily’s sun is matched smile for smile by the warmth of its people, who genuinely welcome visitors to their beautiful island. Now I can’t decide where I want to go next.
Travel abroad is like that. It makes you hungry for more. And if you haven’t had a taste of it yet, here is your chance. Macomb’s Humanities Department is coordinating a trip to Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Paris next year, with the option of earning college credit.
Attend an information session to learn more: Monday, May 9, 6 p.m., P129, Center Campus or Thursday, May 10, 3 p.m., K307, South Campus, or contact Todd Mitchell, art professor, email@example.com.
And my next trip will likely be back to Sicily, where I may have discovered a second home. Travel abroad is like that, too.
