What happens when employer demand for talent is at an all-time high and a great paying career only takes weeks of free training to complete? Opportunity!

Thanks to new funds available through Macomb County, low- to moderate-income residents who have experienced a COVID-related hardship can qualify for free short-term training, with textbooks, supplies and a waiver of any additional fees included.

Delivered by Macomb Community College’s Workforce & Continuing Education division, this is training that leads to industry-recognized credentials in high-demand fields.

Been thinking about a health care career but don’t have two years to wait? The Certified Nursing Assistant program, for example, can be completed in eight weeks!  And many short-staffed health care systems are offering increased wages and hiring bonuses right now!

Not interested in health care? You have other options! The free training is also available in engineering, truck driving, and marine maintenance.

Classes are offered in-person and online and will be starting throughout 2022.

To see all the free training programs available and get more information, fill out this interest form.

A representative from the college will contact you after submitting the form. Income eligibility is determined by Macomb County Community Action, which is the governing agency of this great opportunity.
