While ink-stained wretches may be a thing of the past, there are still aspiring writers out there who want to test the subtle imagery of their poetry, the believability of their plotlines or the eloquence of their prose on like-minded group of people. If you are one of them, then the following is important.
The next meeting of WORDcraft Wednesdays will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 1-3:30 p.m. in the Hub in K Building on South Campus.
Hosted by the College’s English and Communications Department, the monthly literary reading series gives writers an opportunity to read their poetry and short fiction to an audience and receive constructive compliments and criticism in return.
Submissions are also currently being accepted for ARTIFEX, a first-time literary magazine that is an offshoot of WORDcraft Wednesdays. All works of fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry and drama will be considered for publication. The deadline for submissions is April 5. Contact email@example.com for more information.
