You can still be assured that credits earned in certain core courses (English, science, math, humanities, foreign language and social science) at Macomb will transfer to most four-year colleges or universities in Michigan under the terms of the new Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA).
Previously, under the old MACRAO agreement, students needed to enroll in a specific program and know which college or university they planned to attend after Macomb to ensure that their credits would transfer. With the new MTA, students enrolling as of fall 2014 are guaranteed that 30 credits will transfer regardless of whether they are in a program or not. If you did enroll under the MACRAO agreement, you have the option of continuing under its terms through summer 2019 or switching to the MTA if it better meets your academic needs. Either way, talk to a counselor or advisor https://my.macomb.edu/counseling/Pages/Counseling%20and%20Academic%20Advising%20Home%20Page.aspx as soon as possible so that nothing is left to chance.
